  • Stories are the core of our philosphy at Noble Earth. We believe stories are weave that creates, connects and contextualise our world as well as personal realities.

  • Once a selection of shared stories are agreed upon by a culture, a system of values are derived. It happens automatically, without conscious effort through portrayals, morals, symbolism and original intent. Once stories take root in a culture existing conflicting values will quickly perish if the new story is compelling enough. To see this in our world we have only look back at the last 10 years at how our cultural value system has changed and then hold it parallel to the prevailing narratives of the time.

  • Once a group has a system of values embedded into there psyche, their behaviour will quickly form a culture that supports these values. The more the behaviour is reinforced socially the stronger the sense of the culture becomes.

  • Once culture is established leaders now have framework they need to operate within if they want to ascend to power. The tone of language, the topics, the collective sacrifices (such as work effort, taxes and other concessions) each restrict how leaders can behave while maintaining power.

  • Once the leaders are chosen -based on the collective behaviours, shaped by the values, created by the stories- the poltics of the society can take shape. This is the end of the circle where our initial input has fully manifested itself in concrete politics and fully actualised systems. A common mistake we make as a society is to focus far too much energy on this part, forgetting about the previous steps and leaving our minds exposed to meaningless propaganda and polemic.

  • Growing a tree begins with preparing the soil, making sure the mycelium is healthy, and the soil is rich. Even the grandest Oak would perish after a few days if deracinated and replanted in the scorching dessert. By the same principle we must begin all intentions of change by examining and clarifying the stories that precedes it.
